Centenary's Joys and Concerns

CENTENARY’S JOYS

We had a very successful 125th Anniversary year.

Some of the highlights of the year were:

  • the Girls’ & Boys’ Y Club and UMYF Reunion in August

  • we had 76 golfers participant in our tournament at the Rio Hondo Golf Course in September

  • a most enjoyable time was held by all at our 125th Anniversary Celebration Luncheon held at the Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel on October 15;

  • the culmination of our year was the 125th Anniversary worship service. We were honored to have Bishop Roy Sano and Bishop Grant Hagiya, along with 8 other ministers who all had a relationship with Centenary, Rev. Ki Choi, Rev. Mark Nakagawa, Rev. Dr. Dale Smith, Rev. Michio Ogawa, Rev. Dr. Ryohei Kawano, Rev. Gary Oba, Rev. John Miyahara, and Rev. Janet Cromwell. What a blessed day!
